Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Human Stories Book (HSB)?
It is a social art object — a book dedicated to the legacy of all people on Earth, intended to capture
an impression of the human race: what troubled humanity and what people lived through at a
specific point in time.
Can I use HSB to seek justice or share my truth?
Absolutely. But follow the rules so your publication is not removed.
Can I use AI to create my story?
No, in no form. This is a book of human stories. If AI involvement is detected — which is not
difficult nowadays — the participant will be disqualified from any prize consideration.
Can I post many stories under different names and accounts?
Yes, no problem.
Can I post many stories under the same name?
Yes, no problem.
Can I use AI to edit my story?
Yes, you can use AI to edit your story.
What if I don’t want my story to be published in the printed or digital version of the book?
By posting your story on the site, you give us permission to publish it in the book. However, if this
is a matter of principle or you simply changed your mind — you can email us at
info@humanstoriesbook.com and request to cancel the publication of your story. The payment is
non-refundable, as you paid for publishing on the website, not for inclusion in the book.
What if I no longer want my story to appear on the website?
You can email info@humanstoriesbook.com to request removal of your story. However, the payment is non-refundable, since it covered publication on the
site.
What’s the difference between the "500-character text" product and the "Full page" product?
The difference is in character count and value.
The 500-character option limits you to 500 characters. The “Full page” option gives you much more
space to expand your story — ideal for aspiring writers or those needing more space to convey their
values.
Can I include external links in my post?
Yes, but keep in mind: if the link leads to scam sites, any type of scam-related resource,
pornography, or anything promoting humiliation or discrimination — the HSB team reserves the
right to delete your post at any time, without appeal, refund, or restoration.
Can I write in a language other than English?
Yes, but only stories written in English will be published in the printed book and included in the
digital version.
Does it matter under what name I publish?
Not for us.
How many stories will be included in the printed book?
From 1,000, depending on story length.

All paid stories.
Does the page counter on the site reflect the real number of stories?
It shows the total number of all submissions, including unmoderated ones. After daily moderation,
the number may change.

Primarily it will be printed and sold via Amazon. However, you can also view it as a human art
object. The book and its content may be showcased at exhibitions, forums, and used to create social
impact.
